On Sunday, July 1, 2018, at 10:00 am, Assistant Professor Dr. Lazgin A. Jameel- President of the University of Zakho, welcomed a delegate from Iraqi National Defense, headed by Major General Pilot Aaqil M. Mahdi- Dean of Military Academy of Iraqi National Defense in Baghdad. They held a meeting and discussed several aspects related to education system in Iraq.

President of the University of Zakho delivered a seminar about the history of Zakho city and shed light on the process of the establishment of the University of Zakho, higher education process, and then the members of the received delegate exchanged their ideas and views on the topics presented. At the end, the delegate expressed their happiness for receiving such a warming welcome from the university and the progress that Zakho city is witnessing.
